Osvetra answers phones, books appointments and runs websites for service businesses. This page says what we collect while doing that, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who this covers
Business owners who use Osvetra, and their customers: the people who call, text or fill in a form on a business that uses Osvetra. For those customers, the business is in charge of the data and we process it on its behalf.
What we collect
- Calls: the caller's number, the time, a recording and a transcript of the call, and what was booked or noted.
- Texts: the phone number and the messages sent and received.
- Bookings and forms: name, phone, address, email and what they need.
- Business accounts: the owner's name, email, phone, business details and billing records. Card details are held by our payment processor, never by us.
- Websites: basic, cookie-free visit counts (pages and where the visit came from).
Why we use it
- To answer calls, book visits and send the confirmations and reminders the customer asked for.
- To show the business owner their calls, customers and results.
- To bill, support and secure the service.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use one business's customer data for any other business.
Mobile numbers and text messages
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the carriers and messaging providers that deliver the messages. See the SMS terms.
Who helps us run it
We use a small set of providers, each under contract and only for the job named: phone and text delivery (Twilio), speech and AI processing, hosting and databases, email delivery, calendar sync (Google Calendar, when the business connects it) and payments. They may not use the data for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Call recordings and transcripts: 12 months, unless the business sets a shorter period. Account and billing records: as long as the account is open, then as the law requires. When a business closes its account, its customer data is deleted within 30 days.
Security
Each business's data is kept apart from every other business's. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to the people who need it to run the service.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop texts by replying STOP. If you live in California or another state with a privacy law, you have those rights under it, and we will not treat you differently for using them. If you are a customer of a business that uses Osvetra, you can ask that business or us; we will pass the request on and help.
Write to hello@osvetra.com. We answer within 30 days.
Children
Osvetra is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell business owners by email before the change takes effect.
